"
Hoarders
", a documentary on A&E, is now in its second season. As the webpage explains, "Each 60-minute episode of Hoarders is a fascinating look inside the lives of two different people whose inability to part with their belongings is so out of control that they are on the verge of a personal crisis." A unique feature of the program is that participants are offered a tailored intervention that might include access to an expert psychologist, a life coach, or a cleaning crew.
Helping to bring this show to life is SVPA member
Dr. Robin Zasio
. Dr. Zasio explains, "The goal of this project is to help those who suffer from compulsive hoarding turn their lives around. While all of us involved realize that this will not happen in only a few days, it's an opportunity to get the process started."
Compulsive harding is a emotionally trying problem. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in this project, consider
applying to the show
.
