Couple's Communication Enrichment
Program
Presenter: Craig West Ph.D.
Please join us as we kick-off our 2012 Series of Dinner Meetings on Tuesday, June 12th with a presentation by Dr. Craig West on...
Couple's Communication Enrichment Program-Assessment & Therapy - A Brief Introduction Course.
This introductory seminar offers an insightful, multidimensional approach to couple’s therapy by using the Couples Communicative Evaluation Scale (CCES) as a training foundation. This framework for couple’s therapy is based on the "Intimate Communication Model", which is backed by extensive communication research. The CCES is a standardized test that comprehensively analyzes and measures couples satisfaction in terms of their verbal, nonverbal, and listening communication styles. CCES details strengths and weaknesses of communication styles both in quantitative and narrative form.
Course participants will learn how to accurately assess couples’ CCES profiles and how to apply this information to positive, trust-enhancing therapy techniques. Further training and certification is available beyond this introductory course.
This is a 1-hour presentation, including time for questions, networking, and dining. One hour of CEU credit will be provided as well as refreshments and appetizers. Students and guests are welcome. The member fee for this event is $20 and $30 for non-members. Please register by Friday, June 8th.
